Terms of use

Use ChurchGather with care and respect.

These terms explain the basic responsibilities of people, churches, leaders, and ChurchGather when using the website, app, plans, and connected services.

01

Accounts

Provide accurate information, protect your sign-in methods, and use only accounts you are allowed to use.

  • You must be at least 13 to create an account
  • Do not share passwords or pretend to be another person
  • Tell ChurchGather about suspected unauthorized access
  • ChurchGather may require verification before sensitive actions
02

Church authority and roles

Creating or managing a church space requires real authority from that church. Church membership alone does not create admin, financial, or publishing authority.

  • Use the church’s correct identity
  • Assign roles that match real duties
  • Remove access when responsibilities change
  • Backend checks may block unverified actions
03

Acceptable use

Use ChurchGather for lawful, respectful church and ministry purposes.

  • Do not harass, threaten, exploit, mislead, impersonate, or invade privacy
  • Do not upload illegal, harmful, deceptive, or unauthorized content
  • Do not attack, copy, scrape, bypass, or misuse the service
  • Do not use ChurchGather to send spam or manipulate people
04

Content and permissions

You remain responsible for content you create or upload and must have the right to use it. You allow ChurchGather to store, process, display, and deliver it as needed to provide the service.

  • Choose the correct audience
  • Respect copyright, image, music, privacy, and safeguarding rights
  • Church leaders may manage content within their authorized church space
  • Content may be removed or limited when it breaks rules or creates risk
05

Plans, billing, and changes

ChurchGather is free to download and use at launch. If paid church services are introduced later, the applicable price, capacity, fees, renewal, taxes, and cancellation information will be shown before confirmation.

  • Any future paid change must use secure backend and payment confirmation
  • A frontend message alone does not prove payment
  • Features and limits may change with reasonable notice
  • Any future paid service will be governed by the terms shown at confirmation
06

Giving

Giving to a church is different from paying for a ChurchGather plan. Churches are responsible for their approved funds, purpose descriptions, use of donations, and donor questions, subject to provider and legal rules.

  • ChurchGather is not the church receiving the gift unless clearly stated
  • Payment providers may apply their own terms
  • Refunds and disputes depend on the church, provider, transaction, and law
  • Never treat an unconfirmed frontend state as a completed gift
07

Service availability

ChurchGather may change, pause, test, update, or stop features. The service may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, providers, security, errors, or events outside reasonable control.

  • No promise of uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Important changes should be communicated reasonably
  • Beta or preview features may change quickly
  • A static status page must not invent system health
08

Suspension and ending use

Access may be limited or ended for serious rule violations, safety risks, fraud, unauthorized church control, nonpayment, legal requirements, or harm to the service or others.

  • A person may stop using the service
  • Permanent account deletion must be requested by email at support@churchgather.app
  • A church may cancel according to its plan terms
  • Some records may remain for law, safety, payment, or accountability
  • Appeal or support options may be offered when appropriate
09

Responsibility and limits

ChurchGather provides tools, not pastoral, legal, financial, medical, tax, or emergency advice. Churches and users remain responsible for their decisions, content, leadership, care, compliance, and use of the service.
